Curious... Who else out there is an Eagle Scout?

Nice, my brother and dad are both vigil... One day ill get involved again and finish up.

 

Eagle Scout, Brotherhood member of OA, did National Jamboree in 2001 and Philmont in 2009.

 

Eagle class of 2001. Brotherhood OA Member - 1999.
Been to SeaBase, National Jambo, and tons of smaller regional events.

 

Well not to date myself but I got mine in September 1973.

 

I got mine in June of 2004.

 

Ok so I found my card with the date on it. Mine was May 2003.

 

I got mine when I was 14 in 1993

I was awarded my Eagle card about a month before my eighteenth in 2004! It does look great on a resume and I've never interviewed without it being pointed out by my employer.

Went to Philmont in summers of '03 and '05, those trips have made for some of the best memories I've had in my entire life.

Most of my lifelong friends haven't come from high school, they're the old boys from my troop. We just recently had a tri-tip barbeque at our scoutmaster's house... good times, great memories shared again.

Nothing teaches you to rely on your teammates like backpacking through the sleet. There's a trust and friendship forged there. I'd trust my old scout friends with my life, even if I wouldn't leave them alone with my sandwich.
