Re-Paint front bumper

Does anyone know of a good place in the Orange County area to take my truck to get my front bumper reprinted? I have an 06 and for some unknown reason there was no factory clear coat put on. Anyone have their truck repainted or anything like that?

I have heard something about the colors that do not have metallic flake in them only have single stage paint on them. That would piss me the FUCK off! Good luck on your search OP. Paint sucks.

 

Yea, its not too bad , its just enough to notice. I went down, got a quote for $400 just to repaint and put a clear coat on the bumper

 

good luck...this is the reason why RAD painted all his stuff...it was fading and didnt have that "2 stage" paint finish on the flairs, front bumper and grill

btw...my uncle works at a shop up here in ontario and paints all my stuff for me...cheaper than $400 lol

 

Do you know where Ray got his painted at? Everything else on my truck is fine, except for the bumper

400 seems fair. They have to wet sand down your whole bumper and get it prepped for paint. You get what you pay for when you decide to go with the cheapos.

 

Paint is seriously overpriced and the assholes who do the repaint usually cheap out on the job because it's not theirs which leaves you a year from then either peeling or something.

Almost all Tacomas I have seen have issues with the flares, front end plastic, etc. being painted incorrectly. Some will tell you it will never match because its two different surfaces, plastic vs metal. Wrong answer, There is a TSB for the fender flares and paint issues. I had mine painted right after I bought the truck from the dealer. Matches perfectly now. Op, you may be out of warranty, not sure what our paint protection warranty is on our trucks? Maybe want to check it out?...

Really.. just a color match on the front and rear bumpers, with black fog light pockets and center section.


Depending on cost and timeframe, I could use a little bodywork on the passenger bedside bottom front... kicked up a piece of steel on the 210 like a month after I bought it and it left a small ding and scratch, but it's got a light crease so it might tap out with a dolly, might not.

Truck's white, so that part is easy. I got a decent match on my Satoshi with Krylon!... but I know better than to try to color match the entire cover with a rattle can.

 

Maaco painted my truck...looks great! And a lifer warranty!
