New tires needed

2009 TRD 4x4 with almost 100 k HWY miles on these Original 265- 65-17 tires the outside of my tires are beginning to wear a lot faster, couple of thousand miles ago the dealer did a wheel alignment ,i didnt think i needed it but got it done anyway , would low profile tires fit on these original rims ? or should i stay with the original size ? A any thoughts or ideas are appreciated

You can go up to 265/70/17 without a lift and still have no rubbing or trimming with little effect on mpg. You can go lower profile, but you need to determine if you like the look. Most go higher for look and more rubber means less opportunity of damage to the rim if you run over something on or off road.
