There is a lot of info on this subject and lots of fixes depending on what the problem actual is. I can say that with out a doubt my slight shudder from 0 to about 5mph disappeared when i drained the automatic trans fluid and refiled as prescribed in the thread (drain and fill) in the sticky section.

Not sure if it was over filled or underfilled. I lost the chance to determine that since my helper messed up holding the fill tube and oil spilled out on the floor so i dont know houw much actually went back in compared to what came out.

Is this the vibration in the break pedal when coming to a stop and when you start going again?

GM had the same type problem in 88 in there new body style trucks. The GMC rep told me that it could be fixed in then by rapping the carrier bearing rubber in duct tape;and shimming down the center bearing.I know that GM is not "our"trucks, but it might cure "our"problem also.My new 2012 double cab 4x4 has it also, seem to notice it less if I turn off the TCS.

    Hello Forum,

"wrap the carrier bearing in duct tape". How do you do that? I might try that but I can't picture that in my head.

    Thanks :D
