    Another option, for future reference. I was in same situation, looking for a back up to the back up if generator failed. Bought at $79 Black n Decker 800 watt, 6.9 amp inverter that connected to truck battery terminals with alligator clamps. Lucked out and we never lost power or had flooding issues where I was in upstate NY.
