if ur goin for pitcher then u need to work on ur long toss.... also work out ur legs, and do lots of running. do some lunges and squats.... ur a pitcher so dont rely on upper body weight lifting, ur just gonna hurt urself. when i played college ball all the pitchers ever did was run while we practiced. so do lots of running and long toss to make ur arm stronger. if u lift heavy just to pitch, then ur doin it all wrong, ur arm needs to be flexable.

If you look at all the bad ass pitchers the majority are all scrony and lengthy or david wells. In high school I just remember the pitchers running like the whole time we practiced.

Well, now that I play softball pretty much all year, I find beer is helpful.

Seriously, those guys above have said all that needs to be said. You don't do anything more with your arms other than aerobic exercise. LOTS of stretching. LOTS. Flexibility is key.

I caught in LL and all through high school so I am quite aware of what pitchers go through. With softball, it's more like I just stand and wait for some fool to throw it over my head because the only athlete on the field is usually the ump.
