    Hi Folks,
I'm new to this type of forum and I'll be brief. This is my third toyota truck and I passed on my 93 to my oldest daughter and is still going. I kept my 2001 pre-runner to pass on to anyone in my family who needs a good vehicle and recently bought a 2012 with a towing package as we are getting into the travel trailer scene with a Casita camper. Any advice on towing equipment would be greatly appreciated. It is our first venture into travel trailer camping and I think the tacoma will be up to the job since the camper is very light, 2300 lbs., so I bought a braking system and need advice on installing it. It came with a wiring harness with the plugs on both ends for easy installation. I have looked for the plug-in on the truck, but am beginning to think it is a myth. Any advice!!!

Thank you for the welcome. It seems my initials came through as TW and that is because I used lower case j. I' ll try to clear it up, but its no big deal and thanks for the welcome. I'm looking forward to the information and experience the toyota enthusiasts share on the forum. It appears it is the place to pick up information that would otherwise be very hard to come by in my experience. I've just purchased my first travel trailer, light weight Casita, and will be posting some of my biggest goofs for others to enjoy and learn from in the initial adventure in camping by old people.

Welcome to TW! Airbags are not a bad idea for towing, it saves your leaf springs in the long run
