    Hello Everyone,

I have been lurking on these forums pretty extensively the past month reading as much as I could about the 2011-2013 Tacoma double cab PreRunner with the 2.7 four banger and an auto trans. I had a 2012 F150 with the 3.7 v6 and even driving like a grampa was only able to squeeze 15mpg out of it average which was extremely dissapointing (and false advertising by EPA). Anyways, I need a truck and need decent fuel economy so I began looking at the Tacoma. I have had friends who have Tacomas and never said anything bad about them. I have only owned Ford's in the past but since they dont make a new Ranger anymore, that was out of the question.

I wanted a full four door truck and a 4 cylinder because I wanted room for friends and have no need for towing... but I need a bed for mountain bikes, snowboards, dirtbikes, etc.

As I mentioned, I lurked around these forums for about a month researching the Tacoma. I found my exact truck at 6 dealers and began shopping them all. I went with the best deal and bought my first Toyota!

2013 White DoubleCab Prerunner Tacoma. It has the SR5 pacakage, 2.7 4 banger, automatic transmission, rearview camera (which is amazing!), and I was able to find it with the alloy wheels. I love the truck thus far. I have put 500 miles on her and has been averaging 21mpg which is right on the EPA estimates and I cannot complain! I love the size too... not too big like the F150 but larger than the Ranger. The 2.7 in this truck really has all the power it needs to get up to freeway speed and get around. I drive like a grampa and dont care about how "fast" my truck is.... Im not drag racing. If I wanted a "fast" car I would get a Corvette. So far I am EXTREMELY happy with this truck... and its beeng great reading the positive feedback about the DoubleCab 2.7 Prerunners on this forum as well. Hopefully once it breaks in the truck will get even better MPG!
