I am going to be buying some new speakers for my 09 access cab. I was thinking about buying these. http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/p_30864_Kenwood_KFC-6984PS.aspx I was hoping someone could give me some advise to what amplifier i should hook up to them. I need an amplifier that will fit under my passenger seat and wont damage the speakers.

    Thanks

Also any advise would be helpful because i am looking to improve my sound in my access cab and i don't know the best way to do it. i have been thinking i would buy a pioneer AVH-P1400DVD with a set of kennwood speakers (the ones listed up top) and an amplifier. Again any advise would be lots of help because i don't know much about car audio. (I am on a budget and mostly listen to music off of my iPhone)

Make sure you buy the speaker mount kits. From either Mr. Marv or taco tunes.

You don't need an amp for these.. all you need, is the adapters to make them fit correctly and wire them up to your new deck or existing deck.

If you want to go amp route, you may want to learn the basics of how amps work and get installed before you buy everything.

So do u think new deck and speakers will give me some better sound? Or would just the new deck be enough for some better sound?

if you're looking for better sound on a budget, i would make the following recommendations:

    1. replace the factory head unit with a quality aftermarket head unit.
    2. sound deaden your doors.
    3. replace the factory front speakers with some nice sounding, efficient aftermarket speakers.

by properly doing these three things, you will attain a very noticeable improvement in sound quality and volume. based on your assumption that you would have needed an amplifier, the additional cost for some decent speakers and a couple sheets of dynamat should still be in the budget. as far as speaker recommendations go, i favor Hertz Dieci 6.5" components when playing from speaker outputs on a head unit. They sound quite impressive in basic installs like these.

and not to mention I would highly urge to to stay away from 3 way or 4way speakers.... yuck. They hurt my ears.

Coaxials at the most, but even a cheap set of components would be better than 4 ways.

+1 on what shaneckc said though!
