K , Hitting the sack lol
Just for the record , my Matrix also says 4x4 on the rear hatch and the mud flaps but its an all wheel drive . There is no fancy switch or shifter to get this thing outta 4 wheel .
I would be a rich man if I could figure out how to remove that rear driveshaft in the summer months . Matrix owners would be lining up at the garage . Honestly would save a wad on fuel with the rear shaft removed and just the front tires driving the car .
    Oz for president !!!

Your matrix says 4x4? Mine says Awd... Doesn't have 4x4 anywhere on it.

Edit. Apparently it says 4wd. Which kinda makes more sense given the way the system works I suppose.

FYI if you're buying used from a dealer make sure it's certified used. Comes with some warranty added and a couple other benefits. In my mind the main benefit is that the dealer/Toyota has ensure its in good enough condition to apply the extra warranty...

Canadian dollar is worth more than US dollar. How in the hell do they get away with charging those kind of prices for the same truck? Is it extra taxes?

Dealer ad lists heated outside mirrors. Let us know if these are a previously unknown Toyota variety or an aftermarket add-on.

    Have fun test driving everything

I'm pretty sure that the leather heated seats and heated mirrors were part of a package available in Canada on trd sport double cabs. Friend has them. But it may have been dealer added aftermarket in his case.

Factory heated leather seats have been available in Canada since 2008 , but Toyota does not offer factory heated mirrors on the Tacoma

In 2009 I paid $29k OTD for a then two year old '07 DCSB TRD Sport 4x4 6MT with 47k km (29k miles) in Canada just for comparison.

How is the test drive going? What other trucks are you looking at today? I think the white one is a bit pricy and not a fan of all the chrome either.

    Hey sorry guyz .
I was really busy saturday test driving the Tacos that were available to me .
I test drove some crap let me tell you .
The hotel I was staying at offered wireless internet but it didnt work so I wasnt able to provide you with my progress and findings .
    Test driven Taco # 1
    http://www.carvista.ca/certified/Toyota/2009-Toyota-Tacoma-8296be56404638bf00fe8153cb2bf6c5.htm
What they fail to show in the listing that they had to report to me was the fact that the truck was in a fender bender to the extent of $15000.00 damage
The truck test drove fairly well for having a mix of different tires on it .heated seats didnt work ,scratches and dents , transmission slipping ,and cracked windshield on passenger side . Umm - I dont think so , see you later .Lets just say my cell phone rang all day with their phone number showing . I did not answer it ofcourse .

    Taco test drive # 2
    http://autos.winnipegfreepress.com/auto-for-sale/Toyota/Tacoma/make-68/model-433/id-250950/
This was a total waste of my time considering I had to drive two hours to look at it . Another $10,000 in damages had to be reported to me .
I didnt even test drive this one .

    Taco # 3 test drive
    http://autos.winnipegfreepress.com/...coma/page-2/make-68/model-433/id-249204/:mad:

Motor was knocking on start up and no warrantee .

I ended up going with the chrome white truck . 2010 model
    http://autos.winnipegfreepress.com/auto-for-sale/Toyota/Tacoma/page-1/make-68/model-433/id-246212/

The chrome can be peeled off fairly easy . Just decals . Talked the dealer down to 25,000 but then I purchased additional warrantee to 160,000 km or eight years . I probably wont need the warantee but for $1600 bucks I figured thats not too bad . At least the warrantee is transferable if I sell it for a new one next year . Out the door at 28,500 with tax . Hey its Canada . I will admit this truck drives awesome , is spotless and best of all the better half loves it . Now onto some mods !!!:)
