Its really close. When the leaf is hitting the frame, the eye-to-eye measurement is 61 1/2". So it might just be that my mounts are in a slightly different spot on the frame. So i just need to get a 1/2" from somewhere, because theres no where for it to go right now.

So are they F67's or some sort of giant custom leafs?

That's also a possibility. Someone should measure for you on their truck, I can't help with that part tho.

If you measured travel right now what are you at 15" or so?

The leafs have a F67 sticker on them, and they measure 62" eye to eye.
And I don't know how much travel I have, because I don know where full droop is with the whole leaf pack on. But I should be getting 2 more inches of up travel according to my fenders.

are we 100% sure they're F67's? i've heard in the past of giant sending people F55 packs.

post a pic of the stickers on the leafs.

The other thing I could do is re-drill the front mount high in the bracket

Something is amirs.....you're at 61.5" before its flat or did you kinda bend the tape measure around the arch of the spring?
Grab a piece of string and run it the length of the spring and mark the string eye to eye. Then lay the string on a flat surface and measure overall length between your marks.

Interesting. I don't have experience/knowledge of 1st gens for this situation.

But it's got to be somewhere in the measurements and/or positioning. Just not sure how to confirm this and what not.

Wait a second...I just had a rather unusual epiphany.
Don't take this the wrong way, I'm just trying to rule everything out. When you're cycling the suspension with just the main leaf, the sticker side of the leafs are towards the front of the truck right? Can't tell from the pix.

^^No, I was looking at that too, the first pic is def a rear eye, the 2nd pic is the front eye. The fronts go in "level" with the top and the rears go in the middle of the eye

What I mean is, the eye to eye straight measurement is 61.5" when the leaf hits the frame. But the leaf eye to eye is 62", so there's nowhere for the extra .5" to go once the leaf hits the frame. Right now the leaf can only reach 61.5" so it will never be flat.

Yep I have to leafs facing the right way;) but when you mentioned it I was unsure for a sec. And yeah the sticker is toward the front.

IF I were to move the mounts, it would only be 1/2", so I'd be at 53" hanger to hanger. would it make that much difference?

Are you using a metric tape measure? :D
Clearly I'm running out of ideas.

The only thing that would be left is how tight the hangers are to the top and bottom of the frame. It looks like the rear ones arent that high off the top of the frame. I am really getting stumped on this too

    HAHAHA

Thanks all you guys for replying, didn't think people would be on this early.
    Alright time for a decision.
    Notch the frame.
Or move the front mount 1/2".
I'm going to do one of the two.
If I SHOULD NOT do one, speak now or forever hold your peace.

Jason, do his front spring hangers appear to be in the same general location as yours?

My rear mounts are resting directly on the top of the frame.
Don't think that could be it.

Not yet lol, I still think something is up with those leafs, your front mounts are farther forward than mine are and your axle is still pushed back

No, here is mine VS his

Yours might be a little more ahead of his, but that shouldn't make that much of a difference :notsure:
