Hey guys I am new to here and the tacoma world.
I have an 09 double cab trd off road silver tacoma that i bought used this summer. To start off it has magnaflow exhaust and AED cold air as well as spacers on the front and up graded shocks. Also I believe 285 tires? Can not remember off top of my head but i do know 16' stock rims.

Now my question is I have been researching which lift to go with.
I believe it has had some sort of lift before bc at my shop I have come to the conclusion that there is a squeak in the rear of the truck and the leaf springs seems to be a little out of wack and have decided that is my problem.

-So I have thought so far the 3' all pro leaf springs for the rear for sure.
    - Then I came across pro comp 3' set up with springs all they way around and new coils. with block in the back which doesnt really matter.

I am curious will this setup work or do you all suggest another setup.

As well as getting time for new tires and deff want some black rims any suggestions on that?

All advice please! I have owned jeeps before so tacomas are new to me!

    Welcome from Chattanooga my friend!

Is your truck 4x4 or not? That will help narrow down lift options...

Unfortunately I don't know much lifting about 4x4's. If you're looking at doing an all pro leaf pack youre probably looking at lifting about 3" in the back, and then from what i've heard most people balance that out with OME 885 coils in the front with some bilstein 5100 shocks. I think OME 885 coils add about 2" then the bilstein's are adjustable so you can get up to another 2" out of them. You will probably need new UCA's though because anything over 3" will stress your stock UCA's...

I'm sure these guys will chime in and be able to help you out...

But come on over and check out the Tennessee BS thread, and there are a couple other local guys that can help you out.

Unless you go with a drop bracket lift, then 3" is like the max on a 4x4 due to the cv angles getting bad.

What all do you plan on doing with the Tacoma? Offroading (what kind?), towing, mall crawler, etc? That will also help us narrow down your options for you.

there will deff be more offroading as the comfort level gets there used to my old 07 4 door wrangler. but i would not say any intense offroading, the area i live in is southeast. which also helps with areas to off road. there is some towing but nothing very heavy also sometimes dirt bikes in bed.
    want great longevity.
but almost for sure sold on all pro leaf pack 3in
but as of that i am still trying to find everything else out

I would definetly recommend the all pro leafs over the procomp and block set up.

This guy is running just this roof rack and he said he 3" all pro leafs aren't handling the weight very well and he wants to get rid of them last I knew. Just something to think about if you are going to be hauling those dirtbikes a lot or loading up gear for offroading. It might not be a problem here and there, but over time it may cause them to sag prematurely. The 3" weren't designed to handle much more than the weight of the Taco itself. The other downside is the All Pro Expo's will lift you 4+" and can ride rough without weight. Add some weight though and they will settle down to 3" and ride nicely.
The dakars seem to be the middle grounds between the two all pro leafs though and they have an aal that can be added if you need a little more height in the rear.

They are rear leaf springs made by OME. Search OME Dakar leaf springs.
