Welcome and take it back to the dealer like the post above says. Shouldn't be doing that for a brand new truck

It's a common thing on these trucks and it's drive train related from what i understand, not the tranny. I've had mine for a few weeks now and i started to take notice of the vibration during acceleration from a stop, between 1st and 2nd gear and then it's smooth as silk after that. It's not always there for some reason and when it is i find it to be minor. Some claim that the vibration is really bad, i on the other hand couldn't get any vibration at all out of it today and i was trying with some hard acceleration to get it to vibrate. I was reading on here somewhere that some guy ran his truck for like a year or something and one day the vibration just went away, so maybe it's just a matter of breaking the truck in, who knows.

thank you for the the link and i used to have a 2001 jeep wrangler and ilift it 5 in and had the same problrm but that is fixed if you replace some part in the transfer case called slip yoke eliminator for what i know toyota comes with that slip yoke already but i am going to check it or bring hell to the dealer because as some one mentioned you pay 30 + k for a truck with this problems and as i mentioned before they have no clue at the dealer how to solve this problem because in el paso tx what they said they need to have several cases for the factory to get their hands on it but for what i saw this has been going for long time thank you for all your help and i will keep you posted on whats going on

I have a 2009 PreRunner Double-Cab short bed 4x2 (automatic) and it also has the vibration. Seems to do it when it's in first and getting ready to shift to second. Has done this since it was new. Dealer replaced drive shaft about a month after I bought it. They said it was out of balance but problem still exsists. Even brought it to a different dealer and they gave me b.s. story that it's "normal."

sorry for not answering before but i have been up to the yop of my head with work but this is the deal i took it to a diferent dealer and they ren some test my tacoma is 4 x4 and they remove the drive train it seem to solve the problem but they opened a case and i got a call from toyota they say they are going to get it fix i will keep you posted also went to dealer where i got mine and drove a brand new and it does not vibrate when shifting but if you get to a stop and give full gas it vibrates so my guess is that may be the rear axle has to much wrap i am goint to talk to the tech to see if he spots something

Thank you, I think it will be a good idea for me to call Toyota and open a case also.
