2011 Broken plastic piece on door glass

Its the plastic "seat" for the glass that runs on the window regulator. snapped in two.and I called the dealer to which he told me "they come attached to the glass" SOOOO no replacement part for this other than NEW WINDOW? for now I have it very shady patched up. the window was not having any issues so I wonder if this has happen to anyone else?

Yeah Its still under warranty,I guess I will just take it in.stupid repair though.dumb da dumb dumb plasticcccccc.

 

How did this happen? How many miles?

 

just over 25,000...just rolling up the window,not off track or anything and "clunk,snap"

thanks,time is money,id rather fix it myself but since the part isn't available to the dealer she goes!.PS i love this truck,kinda shocked something broke already.

 

I havent heard of this problem before.

 

I've been working for Lexus for awhile now and we see this commonly. The plastic tabs appear to be glued to the glass in two spots and when they snap the window glass does not sit in the track properly. Unfortunately only fix is a new window glass.
