Horrible Vibration

    Ah! Ok then...Check to see if your truck qualifies for the Tranny mount TSB. Also check your U joints and see if there is any play in them.

    Well I guess I am not the only one with bad vibrations at speed. Chris when I spoke to you last night I said my vibes came on after 60mph. They really come on around 40 mph just I am starting to get used to it because I have not had time to rectify it.
    I sure hope the problem is the tranny TSB.

    My U-joint is totally shot.

    maybe my carrier bearing too. It seemed to be squealing a little bit.

    It's in the shop right now.

    Step bars, billet grill with custom TOYOTA, MB Quart RSI 216 components, Hifonics ZXi 4410, RAAMmat deadened doors/back wall/roof covered with ensolite , 24" Magnaflow muffler, hand polished stock exhaust tip, tinted, OEM TRD Bilstiens all around with 1/4" spacers up front to level it out. Sport wheels added.
    Good chance you just knocked off the wheel weights. Check to see if your brake caliper has indications of scraping on your wheels weights off. I know mine are VERY close to the caliper (stick-on type).

    Lets troubleshoot this properly. It started when you rotated your tires. At first, you didn't have a vibration. AFTER you heard the scraping noise, it then developed the vibration.

    Ok.

    Truck is fixed.

    Front U-joint was bad.

    Back U-joint was frozen.

    Total repair was $150
