Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
It's tucked in pretty high. Mine has the nipple on it and it still sits above my skid plate. Something would have to reach in, press in the valve handle, then turn it down.

Agreed, the valve is pretty stiff, it isn't "easy" to open and takes some effort. Certainly not impossible to image an accidental opening but not very likely.

So is Amazon the best place you guys have found price wise for the fumoto valves? Considering one for my wife's '07 Honda Accordion 4cyl as well. ;) Pricey but seems to be a great idea.

X2. I just put mine on last oil change so next time will be a piece of cake. Sits above my ato skid and thats with the nipple too. There was a group buy for them a while back. Cant remember what price they went for though.

Watch your clearance on the Honda.

I ran a Fram Sure-Drain on my Tundra because the bottom of the pan was pretty low IIRC.
Duramax, the drain was horizontal on the back of the pan... the nippled Fumoto was perfect.
'04 Rav4, like the Tundra, the drain is on the bottom corner of the pan and I'd be concerned about it hitting the ground... went with the Sure-Drain.
