Anyone use one of these? I think its an excellent solution for an in dash USB port for charging things.

Its 1amp, so it should be good for the iphone/ipod (as the description says), but Belkin says you need their clunky 2 port version to charge anything else (GPS devices, blackberrys and other phones, etc). Can anyone confirm this? Or will Blackberrys and other stuff work on this one?

Apparently this isn't a popular product.

I ended up picking one up over the weekend. It's awesome! It sits damn near flush with the cig. lighter socket and has a single USB port. The only down side is the blue LED on it is extremely bright. I fixed that issue by dabbing a little black model paint on the LED itself. A small amount of light still gets through, but its much more soothing, not a distraction.

I was able to charge my iPhone, a Blackberry Pearl phone, and my GPS (Mio Digiwalker) with this single port. All I need now are the appropriate USB cables, not a single cig. lighter plug for every piece of electronics I use. I dont smoke, so this little USB adapter is going to permanently live in the cig. lighter adapter socket.

I got mine at Best Buy. It was a pain to find though!
