Mom fined $2.5k for toddler’s ‘public’ urination

Some of the details that this hinges on (for me anyway) aren't in the 2 articles.

For one, was the kid back to the street in the corner and the cop walked up to him? OK I get it's still outdoor peeing but it's not the same as if the kid's on the corner of his lawn facing the street peeing.

For another, where was the mother when the kid started this? I mean, inside or around the corner? Or standing there watching him? I'll say that either way she should be outside minding him if he's 3 years old though.

A $2500 fine does seem like a lot, but for all we know it could be the minimum find for this offense in that city or town.

Not to nitpick but I don't see that not finishing the pee really changes it either..

Look, I'll not tell you I've never peed in my yard when I'm outside working in the yard, I'll just find a corner where nobody can see from the road or the other yards near me. If you walk into my backyard and say something about it I'm first going to say "WTF are you doing in my yard uninvited!" I got my pool 2 years ago and I'll own up to taking more than a couple of naked dives too..in my backyard, off of my deck which has thick lattice all around it. You'd have to be in my yard to know.
