Need help with new double din HU

I installed my new Pioneer double din this morning and i cannot get the GPS to detect my location and whenever i go to settings it will not let me change any. Any ideas/info on how to get everything to work?

 

If it wont let you change any settings, I would say your GPS antenna either isnt plugged in correctly (Not all the way/wrong spot?), or something may be wrong with the wire/antenna itself.

It just seems that the system doesnt even think it is hooked up.

 

well its not just the gps settings, its all setting period on the unit.

 

did you accidentally lock the HU? i set a password on my head unit with out realizing it and i couldnt change anything while it was locked

 

Does it think you're driving? I.E. park sensor?

 

Good answer...a lot of units will not let you change the settings without the parking brake being on.

 

Yeah it may be the parking sensor...im gonna check everything tomorrow afternoon when its light outside.

 

Make sure its not in some kind of demo mode either.

 

How do you check if its in demo mode?
