Yea I did a search on the lenses he was offering..nothing special.

I can live with a scratch, well loved is what that means

However I would like to know more about the glass, the body seems much better then the rebel. I'm still not fully getting my head around the numbers. Would the two lenses be similar other then one can go farther then the other 200 vs 105 and one closer?? 28 vs 70?? Or does it have to do with width of the picture too??

 

Yeah, there is some overlap there.

The lower the number, 28 mm for example, makes a wider picture. Tho not as wide as my 10-22.

On the long end, the 105 mm is good for portraits and photographing people (and trucks). The 200 mm is for something a longer distance away.

The 28-105 is a very nice lens. Its not too big and heavy and is versatile enough to keep on the camera for most shooting. What photographers refer to as a walkaround lens.

Im dying to know how these movies the keep the lighting and colors so close to the same throughout the full movie even though the conditions a changing constantly.

i never grind it. I just keep trying. If it doesn't go the first time, i let the clutch out again then try and it usually goes. Jon has issues with his too..must be a toyota thing?

 

I just click the little button and pull the handle back one notch. Then if I want to go forward, with all the gears, I push that little button again and pull it back a couple more clicks, done. I see no issue here

 

Its the synchros that come into play when shifting. A good synthetic lube like the MTL will free up the synchros, allowing them the spin up easier. The advantage is most noticeable in downshifting, especially in 1st and 2nd gear.

No synchros on reverse means the gears must not be moving to be able to engage. And the whine is caused by the way the gear is cut. Not because it has no synchromesh gear.

My car wont go into reverse sometimes. I just ease out on the clutch and it will usually pop in though. Kind of odd. Oh and it whines pretty good too. Haha

Yup, I cant go into 1st unless im going really slow or once the truck has warmed up alot. Same with the Reverse on mine, if it doesnt click in i just pop the clutch out a bit until it drops in.

HHmmmmm all this talk of shifting issues My auto goes into reverse just fine. but it wont grab first unless im going under 40MPH. So i kinda feel your pain there guys.

 

Last I knew there are almost 40 states pushing to secede from the Union. haha
