Just thought I would throw our hat in the ring. Bought a truck for our 17 year old - her first , of course. 98 V6 Tacoma. Darn thing is in amazing shape. Park brake was seized so we changed it. Picture shows her changing the park brake, with Dad. Too bad I cannot show pictures of her learning to shift gears, or better yet, starting on a hill. Bought the truck a week before she got her license - gave her incentive. I have had Toyotas since 1971 when a brand new Corolla cost me $2,495.00. Have had an '73 Corola Wagon, '81 Toy pickup 4x4, '91 4 Runner, still driving an '07 Prius. The reliability of these have been and are amazing. This 98 Tacoma for the daughter should last her many years.

:woot: great choice in a first vehicle! I too learned to drive (with dad) in a '94 Toy and dad and I have enjoyed many hours BSing and working on my truck over the last few years. Welcome to the TW family.

BTW...this is my dad's truck and mine. He was a little jealous and had to have his own Toy again
