    I am referring to brand new models not 3 or 4 year old models. That was the whole point of stating that the tacoma is falling behind when compared to the new full size trucks sporting new engine technologies.

    The tacoma will likely see a new engine in the near future (2014 from what I have been reading) as well to meet cafe requirements or toyota can let the rest of their fleet make up for the tacoma's out dated engine.
