I have not yet replaced my clutch, but I have looked into it.

Two dealers quoted me about $1000 for a new stock Asin clutch, new throwout bearing, resurfaced flywheel and new pilot bearing.

An independent shop had a similar price.

I would get the rear main seal done while they have the transmission off, it runs about $200.

Report back what you end up doing.

I just did mine... I suggest going to urd and get a clutch kit from them vs going stock again.

hate to say it but doing this yourself will save you a ton of money and get you the best parts. use nothing short of aisin (not luk) parts. i've heard good things about urd also.

it is not an impossible job. nothings impossible. and after all its not like your engineering, only taking apart and putting back together. rent a tranny jack, put aside a weekend, and make sure you have all your parts handy. any tool you need can be bought as needed. parts are hard to get on weekends.

havent done my truck yet, but did my brothers truck with the 500 pound nv5600. look forward to doing mine after that. get a book like haynes/ chilton to guide you through it. not hard, just dificult :)

You at least need to get the flywheel resurfaced. And you might want to be ready to buy a new one if the current one won't come back by being resurfaced.
TOB might want to replace in order to avoid having a problem in the future-I used the kit from URD.
If you aren't planning in upgrading power output or towing/hauling with the truck - then a stock replacement will be fine imo. Rear main oil seal is a good idea too as you don't want to have to open the transmission up again anytime soon to replace it down the line.
