Spark Plugs

I have a 1996 4 cylinder 5 speed Tacoma. Just wondering how often I should change my spark plugs and if anyone could tell me how many there there are and how to locate all of them

Also what are some tips on buying spark plugs plugs Brand ect

 

for the 96, im not totally sure of the interval that those plugs need to be changed, but im gonna guess every 30k miles or so...........just depends really. as for brands, i'd stick with standard denso plugs...very cheap at the dealer. location of the plugs..........look right on top of the motor, and you will see the wires and boots for all 4 plugs.

 

Thanks man Im gonna go and check that out right away.So am I gonna need any special tools or anything to get them out. And would I have to change the wiring or anything aswell for the new Plugs

 

well...pull the plug wires off easily and inspect all of them,especially the boots, for cracks or anything. for the plugs, you'll need an extension and a 5/8ths spark plug socket(with the rubber boot inside the socket), and some anti seize. use a little anti seize on the threads......a dab will do ya.
