Had a better than average espresso over the weekend, and just watched a report on the coffee trade on CNBC and now I'm ready to drop $400 on an espresso machine, lol.

Same eAse.. Have any of you tried cold press coffee? It's not what it sounds like, it's still a hot cup of coffee... BUT, you make the coffee concentrate once a week (the cold part) how it works..

Funny looking container that has a single filtered outlet at the bottom, you put one pound of ground coffee in it, fill to the brim with cold filtered water (4 cups or so) and let sit for 24 hours. It steeps the coffee into the water :) after the wait, you pull the plug on the bottom strain and drain the coffee concentrate into a jar that you keep in the fridge. Want a cup of coffee? Nuke 7 ounces of water till almost boiling, add 1 ounce of coffee concentrate.. Viola! GREAT cup of coffee :) much higher caffeine content, never a over cooked flavor, and you get the full flavor of the coffee! because there is no "cooking" of the grounds, which destroys some of the essential oils and can do funny things to the "body" of the coffee.

A bit more work than a k cup (guilty here also) but makes awesome coffee that is also quick.. Not counting the set up time :D

I would be interested in trying it out. I wonder though what people who give it good reviews is comparing it to. If they are comparing it to a mister coffee or a bunn then anything would taste far superior. I don't think those kpeeps or kkups whatever they are called taste very good either unless you compare it to the bunn and jo dimaggio brands. But I am a coffee snob;)
