I have a 2012 DC 4x2 TRD Sport. Does anyone else notice that some people will flash their hi beams when your lights are on low? It seems like this is happening more often than normal and I'm just wondering if it's because our trucks and therefore lights start off higher off the ground.

If it bothers you, I guess you could just aim them lower.

My truck is only 4 mo old and I would have thought that they would have been aimed correctly from the factory. Silly me!

Try standing in front of the truck at a reasonable distance like an oncoming car and check your headlights' aim, with and without foglights on. My fogs were aimed high but my headlights were reasonable from the factory. It's not unheard of for headlights to be way off from the factory though. My motorcycle headlight was aimed at the front tire (mild exaggeration) when I picked it up.

I believe typical guides on aiming truck headlights suggest around 2"-4" of fall from center of light to cutoff over about a 25' distance.

Another thought is that modern headlights are just kinda bright and most drivers fail to realize that if they have been starring into the darkness for several minutes then look into approaching headlights, it's going to seem a little bright.
