So my 285/75/16 Bridgestone Revo's are nearly worn out after 68,000 miles on my pro comp wheels (Great tires)
I am now considering replacing them with another set of the same size tires in a mor aggressive tread, OR getting some 225/85/16 tires (pizza cutters - as they are tall and skinny).

My brother ran the tall/skinny on his 2001 taco for 70,000 miles.

    Thoughts or opinions?

There's a good article about 255/85s in the wheels & tires section.

I run 236/86r16s, and will replace them with the same when they wear out. 255/85r16s are 33", like your 285/75s. Was the 225/85 a typo, or are you thinking of going much smaller diameter as well?

Is any body running the 235/85R16 tires on a non-lifted truck?? Any rubbing issues.

No rubbing whatsoever on mine, and mine are Duratracs. Still have room for heavy duty chains on the rear too. BTW, they are roughly the same height as 265/75R16s, on a 30mm diet.

Thanks Phil. I am planning on getting studded duratracs this winter but I just wasn't sure they wouldn't rub up front.

The info on the chains is helpful as well. I carry HD V-Bar chains in the winter.

Pizza cutters make good flotation tires when they are aired down.

lThey only come in E load range, but if you offroad your truck that should be fine.
