Anyone use Moog replacement coils?

I searched several forums and only located one person who used moog-81104 replacement coils for their Tacoma. Anyone else have anything to say?

It looks like they are 12" long and I emailed federal-mogul to find out the spring rate. In their reply they stated it was 595#. Even though this spring is 2.3" shorter then the OME 880 I am considering it is much heavier duty at 595# vs 500# which will help with the armor I am planning on putting on in the future.

I am looking to beef up my suspension but keep it at stock or near stock height. Any thoughts?

 

I have their replacement "off road spec" springs in my 96 with Bilstein HD's. The part number on my rockauto receipt is 81104. I didn't want to lift the truck but I hated the soft front coils in my non-TRD I bought new compared to my wife's 98 with the TRD package. And I had Bilstein HD's in the 98 too. My 96 had original springs and shocks with 250k on it. It rode like an old buick. The Moog coils were actually shorter uncompressed than my stock 96 coils by about 1.5" or so. But once installed the front end picked up about 1/2" or so. And they ride just like I had expected so I'm quite happy with them. It's firm but not harsh and has a LOT less body roll than it did before. But the Bilsteins played a big role in that too.

How do the "off-road" Moog 81104 compare to your wife's TRD with the stock springs? I am suspicious of these moog replacements, since they are so much shorter than the non-trd stock springs. I assume it means they are way stiffer, which sounds like an unpleasant ride.
