Last week I was driving my truck when a horrible sound started coming from the rear of the truck not knowing what it was I took it in to the local dealer ship they caled the next day and told me it was a Bering and that my truck would be ready the next day the next day they called and said that one of the rear axle shafts was bad also and it would be ready in 2 days so I called them around 330 2 days later and they said that the truck would be ready soon they they called 30 minutes later and said the rear axle housing was bent quickly reaching the end of my budget I asked what the cheepest option was they told me that buying a used rear axle would be the cheepest route well they called saying that they got the used axle in but it was burnt up and now they are trying to pressure me in to buying all new parts that I can't afford so I was hopeing some one on here can help me out

I think you need to CONFIRM each problem. Start with the bent housing and axle shafts. Then find out what's wrong with the new axle. WTF does burnt up mean? What's burnt up? Is it the 3rd or the wheel bearings? Can you swap 3rds or bearings and shafts?

Also make sure you get all your old parts back. Just confirm the problems, have them show and explain to you. Report back.

Yea I saw the bering and that was defently bad and the axle housing was visibly bent when it was on the lift and their was a grove wore in the axle shaft and as far as the used axle he said that whoever had it. before let all the grease leak out of it and ran it with hardly any grease and everything was really worn in it
