Tires just spin when I put it in drive!!!

Okay well I go outside to move my truck and I put it in drive, it's not moving. I pressed on the gas and the tires just spin..what can that be?? Brakes not on no engine light on

You sure the tires are spinning? I know you got some rain over there last night, it's possible the back brakes have seized and just need to be broken loose

 

Is something seized or locked up in the front?

 

Did you park on an ice skating rink?

 

I think the front brakes locked up cuz my tires are screeching

 

Someone is playing a trick on and jacked up the back of your truck.

 

did it freeze down there? so its the front wheels that don't have any movement? rear tires are spinning and kicking up dirt/gravel/pavement? what are your tires screeching on? Had my rear shoes freeze to the drum up here last year, if they are frozen try getting them wet to help thaw the ice to break them free.

Did you by any chance just wash the truck?

 

I had a buddy do it to me but the tires were off the ground so no squeaking.

 

Rinsed it off last night cuz it was covered in mud, now she's lookin pretty

 

I had the same thing happen after washing the truck and having it sit till the next morning. Something with the brakes/wheels rusted up. I think it has something to do with the rear because it also happens to guys after launching a boat. I had to really give it gas till it broke free... made a hell of a noise. Now i make a habit of at least going around the block after washing... hasn't happened since.
