I put this together a while back, just because I was board  and it came out fairly well I think. It's been going strong for about 5 months now, no problems with moister and all the LED's still work good.

Honestly, I mainly just did this so it matched the 09 LED taillights when I put them in this 06, lol. I do like it better than some of the aftermarket options though with the 6 huge LED's...

30 SMD LED's from Oznium, 10 resistors (who's value I can't remember for the life of me right now, but I know they're 1/2 watt...) and the board from Radio Shack, and a lot of time and patients with a soldering iron. Not the prettiest joints and flows, but you can't see it anyway when the cover is on

little adapter I made so it plugs right into one of the original light sockets; no cutting wires and fussing with that

LOL, I actually thought about making them and selling them... but, I wanted to run this one on my truck for a while and see how it worked out first; see if any changes need to be made like sealing them shut or something

I do have another light housing though and I might put another one together in the future

yeah that was the first option I considered, but I had the soldering iron on the work bench when I thought about the LED's and I was just like "screw it, I'mma make one", so I ordered the SMD's, lol
