    Hello,

I have a 2012 tacoma, recently i've noticed at night people flashing me as they are approaching like you do when someone has their hi beams on, but i just have my normal lights on. Does anyone else have this problem, are the tacomas lights just that bright or is it a issue i should bring up with the dealership to have them re-adjusted?

    Thanks

Yeah, probably they could be adjusted down some, not uncommon on these trucks

Might be high, but you have a new truck with clear lenses, and the 4x4 is a bit taller than "normal"

I used to get flashed all the time in my Suburban and I had the lights aimed 2" below where they should have been.

I haven't been "flashed" by other drivers (yet) but I've noticed that he low beams on my new Tacoma are the brightest headlights I've had on any vehicle I've owned.

I had the same problem with my new Philips X-Treme powers so I decided to lower my lights another 3-4 inches and I still have great visibility and also no more blinding poor passer-by's!

Both my 09 and my dad's 08 had the lights aimed too high. His was to the extreme, it was a raccoon shiner straight from the factory. Even set conservatively low they still illuminate well so who knows why Toyota likes to do that.

I still get the occasional flasher who wonders why their sealed beam from 1976 won't light up the road in the face of the Tacoma's clear lenses, but it's rare. I did have quite a few flashers when my right headlight was full of condensation though - the water-hazed reflector was scattering light everywhere and it certainly wasn't a pleasant sight.
