Polishing Factory Rims

    Has anyone ever used Flitz or similar product on their factory aluminum rims to really make them shine? What kind of results did you get?

    Bed Mat, All Season Floor Mats, ( winter, northern NY),
    I am not 100% sure on this, but my hunch is that there is a clear coat finish over the alloy on your wheels. A metal polish really will not work on what is actually a plastic finish. Typically the wear you see as blemishes on the alloy finish is the clear coat wearing away or blistering underneath.
    Again, it is just my understanding. Maybe there is someone else on the site that can verify this ??
