I love the cleaver. Makes quartering game a lot faster. It's also good in the kitchen. I got it in a set of 3,the gut hook, cub bear, cleaver. Came with 3 in 1 sheath.very cool.
I sharpen all with stones,It helps having an assortment.

I have always had full serrated blades from Spyderco. I have a Mariner from 22 years ago that is still going strong I just dont carry it. I have to get me Military full serrate repaired, hopefully Spyderco takes care of me as a loyal customer.

I've used mine as an EDC for a couple years now. That knife is tough as nails. I've use it more often as a pry bar, screw driver, hammer, etc than a knife. It will handle anything you throw at it. I skinned a deer with it last week and held a good edge.

BUT the locking mechanism is shit. I have a nice scar on my knuckle from it failing and the blade closing on me. It could just be because its old and worn out but still. If I hit the back of the blade on my knee it will close. Doesn't require much force

For those of you who keep knives in your truck, where do you keep it? Anyone have a clean looking storage method? Thinking about getting a fixed blade to keep in there somewhere, maybe in the glove box or center console, just don't want it floating around loose in there :D

Edit: also, has anyone had any experience with budk.com? I'm doubtig their quality considering the price

Have you tried there byrd stuff, I am planning to go the spyderco store store here (its a about an hour away) and picking up something for christmas (although I already got myself a gift lol)

I have never used budk but the stuff looks good for the price, they offer free shipping once in a while.

this is a deal breaker for me. i sometimes carry an antique CASE knife..i know it is non-locking and could close on me and i use it carefully. one i think is supposed to lock and doesnt..i would toss it.

i have never seen ANY knife survive being used as a pry-tool. my brother broke an emerson trying to pry out a spent smoke bomb grenade thing out of a launcher. even Benchmade said..sorry, we cant warranty this.

we did however get them to regrind it to a new shape. ugly but still effective.

I gave my Kershaw Ken Onion to my sister a few years ago and haven't really gotten around to purchasing (or affording) a real knife.
I've been carrying a cheap-ass folding box cutter, my uncle gave me a disgusted look and gave me this the other day

I'd love to get a Benchmade Osborne someday though.
