Gas cap cover alignment

    Just picked up a 2008 TRD that seems pretty sweet. So far, only problem is the gas cap cover alignment is off such that the cover binds and doesn't want to open all the way as the front portion of the cover scrapes the bucket containing the filler tube. I may need to remove the cover by drilling out the pop rivets and then reinstalling with a shim under one of the new rivets. Anybody else had to do this ? Suggestions welcome. I may take it back to the dealer but fear some hamfisted wrench jockey buggering things up.
