i have a 2000 tacoma v6.i want some leveling struts but not sure what ones to get. i got 2" blocks in the rear and 3" spacer up front. i want to do away with the spacer up front and get leveling struts for better ride. the leveling kit that i choose has to be 2.5"-3". should i go with 5100's or skyjacker leveling strut? or is there a better pair? any suggestions?

    Welcome to TW.
5100's are inexpensive and will serve you well. Skyjacker sucks, you can tell they suck because they sell their system as "struts"
Tacoma's don't have struts. Tacomas have a double a-arm suspension with a coilover shock.

Ranchos were popular and good when VHS was popular and good. Needless to say...technology changes.

Welcome to TW, OP! Bilstein 5100s are a great choice for our trucks. You won't be disappointed.

I'm confused by your block removal question. I think the best option is to remove them, in favor of a better lift alternative (e.g., new leaf springs). Since you didn't mention an interest or budget for leafs but implied a desire to retain 2.5"-3" of lift, however, you'll want to keep your blocks to avoid "bro lean".

Before committing any funds to your upgrade, I recommend you spend some time in the Suspension forum, with an emphasis on the Tacoma Lift FAQ/Guide and Suspension Lift Info Stickies. There's a LOT of good info there to assist you.
