I use a deionized water system (spot free) when washing my truck. The less you touch your paint either with a wash mitt or a drying towel, the less you are going to get swirl marks.

X2 = Since the truck is new to me, I have waxed every other week. But I will probably only wax every 3 months or so later this year, and that will be my norm.

uhmm what ever comes out of my hose but i pressure wash it after offroading then wash it... i never wax my truck cause its super white and hard as hell to see the wax. The 1 time i wax it i drive it for a week and realize i frogot to "wax off" a whole pannel. Anyways i have to wash it every week b/c i park next to some kind of tree that puts like little sap spots. So if i dont wash it, it looks like i have a super white w/ black splatter paint only on the drivers side

I use CRSpotless, had the system for several years without issue. A filter set lasts 5-6 months

When I get back from trailing I go to Goo Goo car wash and pressure wash it off and then get back to my house (hose it off to get the bad stuff out of the water) and dry it off with a absorber
