I'm used to having daytime running lights on my silverado and I'm wondering if my Tacoma has it or do I need to use the light switch all the time. I thought the other night after I got home before I got a new battery that I shut the truck off with the light switch on and I thought the lights went out but second guessing myself now. I hope you all aren't confused by me trying to describe this.

I leave mine on, with the truck off, as soon as I open the driver side door they automatically turn off. I am not sure if this is good or bad. I assume I will have to replace headlights more often. However, right now it is dark on my way to and from work so I am not so concerned.
