So I had just bought my truck certified used 4 months ago and am still under warranty, 1 year with longo toyota and also had purchased the extended warranty. Took it in and they said it wasn't covered under extended, but shouldn't it be covered under the 1 year or 12,000 mile comprehensive?? I'm going to take it back in when I need to do my oil change. I think it might be a bad seal or something. Any info would be great, thanks!

Check make sure all the boots are on and the plugs are plugged in. I know you shouldn't have to do it, but for as much of a PITA as dealers can be.... you can put them in the oven and reseal them like we do on the BHLM.

If all else fails you can drill a smole hole in the housing at the lowest spot that makes sense. It will stay nice and dry with a little air flow.

Shouldn't this be covered under the 1 year certified warranty?

I'd suggest looking at the vent caps before going ape. There are 2 on each light, the top one with fine foam inside the cap, the bottom with coarse. This lets a small amount of ventilation through the housing while keeping insects out.

I had a wasp plug up one of the lower caps and I couldn't believe how fast it gathered water in there. I took the whole housing inside sans the bulbs, parked it on a heat register, and 4 hours later put the truck back together. No more water since.

If the caps are in good order, then maybe start thinking warranty. Be warned, that certified warranty has a $50 cost to you if you use it.

It probably is that socket cover thing for the bulb, because I had hids in there before and haven't had this issue. Thanks for the help though guys.
