Well I'm installing two of these (http://blitzpro.com/led-bar-light.html) on my camper shell as reverse/utility lights. I want to run them through a switch so I can turn them on without the key in. So I will NOT be tapping into the stock reverse wiring.

My question is this: Instead of running two positive leads from the battery all the way back to the shell, I'm thinking of running a single, larger wire to clean it up a bit. My thinking was to mount a minibus (http://www.amazon.com/Blue-Sea-2304-MiniBus-Terminal/dp/B0009TUFWA) in the shell/bed somewhere and run that lead off the battery to it. Then I could just run short lengths of wire from the lights to the minibus and ground them anywhere in the back of the truck. I'd also then run the one main positive wire through a switch so I can turn them both off at the same time. That same main positive lead would also have the appropriate fuse size (4-5 amp) for both lights.

Am I crazy to think like this or should I just run two individual wires?

No need to go that far. Run your positive from the battery through an appropriate size fuse. Then from the fuse run the pos to your switch (make sure it can handle the load). You should be able to run it two ways from there. 1 run two wires from the switch, one to each light or 2 run the pos to one light and connect that input to an output wire for the second light. I personally would recommend plan 1.

You can run the grounds the same way. The bus is overdoing it a bit in my opinion.

Yeah I thought it was overkill as well haha. The only real benefit I saw by doing it was it being much easier to add two more lights if I wanted to.

i need slider bad. but got to sell my dirt bike first. don’t ride it much and need the money more.

anyone of you guys having them custom done. like the filler plates or any extras? or just the standard design?

when i get them(pretty sure i’ll get BAMF) i’m going to see if he will make the come straight out and not curve up. i will be using them quite a bit as a step to get to roof rack. also thinking about adding filler plates my self. so i have a good service to stand on in the snow and everything. roof rack will have detachable cross bars that hold the yakima snowboard rack.

oh nice. i’m undecided on the kick outs right now, but i may get them. i would really like to get a old like ’85 4 runner or something, than maybe put an exo cage on it. and just wheel the piss out of it and not worry to much about it. i can’t afford to brake something my the taco, like a diff or axle or what ever els. also i kinda want it to stay looking nice. as far as armer goes i’m think bolt on BAMF sliders and maybe a front bumper. i want bolt on so that if i got in a wreck i can take them off and sell or put on the new truck.

if i got a 4runner i would most likely trailer it some places once i got a trailer. than agin their is a wildlife management area 20 miles from my house. also wind rock/coal creek witch is a really big off road place thats also about 20 miles away. if i went to those places i would just drive it. but i have some plains for a runner, like beadlock wheels,(legal on the street in TN) exo cage, 5 pint harness, air lockers. OBA.

I'd get a kickout regardless of what you end up wheeling. The purpose is to push your tires away from obstacles. Helps a great deal.

yeah i’m leaning more on getting. and it’s like $40 for the set, so it’s not bad at all on price for what it does.

Nah I wish I could. I just graduated and need to start finding a job. If I get one soon I may get in on it, but my plan is to lift it first.

Pretty sure the Brute Force sliders come standard with kick outs. Least, that's what it says on his site.

for me to have kick ups i would not fit down trails that would require me to need them. those silly long beders.:p

edit: or i would have a 2 seater truck. i like my cab space.
