GB sign up starts now!
I'll release the GB discount promo code with appropriate discount level applied based on the sign up list total on the 1st of January 2013. At that time, the coupon code will automatically expire 7 days later and orders later than that will no longer be eligible for the GB price.
Orders will be filled in the order that we receive them once the discount code is released and ordering begins.

Please allow approximately 2-3 weeks for fabrication + the shipping time, so you should get your reinforcements between mid-late January.

During the GB, material choice on the covers will be 14ga steel, or .100" aluminum (not aluminum diamond plate, just plain aluminum). All covers will ship bare metal. Aluminum can be left bare and will oxidize lightly(depends on how harsh the environment is where you live), but steel will need to be coated with your choice of product to prevent rust. Aerosol can bed liner is affordable and decently durable so for most people that is what I would recommend coating with, but any coating that sticks to metal can be used. Powdercoat, line-x, auto paint, spray paint, etc

Installation is simple:
After coating your cover with your choice of coating, simply lower your tailgate and remove the torx head screws holding the plastic covers on. The top edge piece unclips off the edge of the tailgate, and the larger cover then simply lifts off.
Next, slip the Relentless tailgate reinforcement on the tailgate(mind the formed lip on the cover so as to not scratch the outside of the tailgate. Foam 'camper tape' can be applied to the inside of the protector lip to help protect the paint if desired). Once the mounting holes are lined up, start all the screws, then tighten down each one while working from the center to the sides. Do not over-tighten, they secure into plastic inserts that can be stripped if too much torque is applied. Finally, enjoy some peace of mind that your tailgate is now much stronger(not invincible though )!

The one pictured is diamond plate however none of the GB ones will be made of it. Only smooth sheet.

The large plastic cover will fit over, the one on the top edge of the tailgate will not fit over the reinforcement plate.

And my diamond plate is probably 5x thicker than the cheap accessories you'll find in truck accessory catalogs.
