no i dont think so. at least, of everyone ive seen that has it, no one has had their shit break because of it. i think it is different from truck to truck OP, im sure there are some baja's that have it, and others that dont. i have my 5100s set to 2.5" (have been for 15k miles) and dont have it (if i do, i havent noticed it :notsure:) i'd probably jus live with it if i were you, or get a set of MT's so the truck looks better, and you wont hear it anymore.

If you check your diff oil after experiencing the vibe for a while (ex, 15k miles) you will find excessive amounts of metal shavings in the oil due to acellersted wear on the gears inside the diff as a result of the altered spider gear angles. I have hade 3 tacomas the two with the vibe exhibited this while the truck with no vibe did not. I change my diff oils every 15-20k miles

I have a loose/leaky drivers side axle with no vib and no lift.
I ordered the 5100s and the bushing at the same time so hopefully i dont have any problems.
My truck has 117000 miles. I will update after lift/bushing is installed, im probably going with the 1.5 lift..

I think the Baja models are too new to have enough miles for this issue to have cropped up yet, and also there are very few Baja's so not getting reports of this may not mean anything.

Can anyone check the part number of the front differential on a Baja and compare to other Tacomas? Also part number of needle bearing on drivers side of the front differential? part numbers of CV shafts? If we knew these part numbers, we could likely sort out if there are any differences.

On my 2006, the issue did not show up until 293k miles, which was 73k miles after a Icon stage 1 was installed.

I was told by a TRD, F-Sport and Functional Accessory Design Engineering Manager, that the only change was the suspension components listed below. You do need the 4 leaf pack to start with.

I put the ARB OME 3 inch suspension on my 08 last March 31,000 miles. Back in October and 36,000 miles I started getting the vibe. Went to my Toyota dealer and asked about the needle bearing and if they would warranty it even though I have a lift. They started to try and blame it on my after market suspension, to which I asked if they really want to blame it on a well engineered and respected suspension that is on millions of Tacos over the years
