I have a 2012 TRD OR 4x4 AC and I started hearing what sounded like a helicopter hovering above me from 40-50 mph. It didn’t matter if I was in 2wd or 4wd, going straight or turning, bakflip fibermax tonneau cover folded open or closed, the noise was always there at that speed, and only at that speed. I never felt any driveline or front end vibes, I only heard the helicopter noise above the truck. I’ll spare you the details of my troubleshooting but my OEM hood deflector was the culprit. I removed the hood deflector earlier in the week and haven’t heard the noise since. No real reason for this post except to put this info out there in case anyone else with the OEM hood deflector hears a similar noise from 40-50 mph.

That is why I took mine off a few days after I bought it & returned it to the dealer.

Wished mine would have done it sooner so I could have returned it as well. I had mine on 9 months before it started making the noise.
