Totally agree with this. Maybe we should go back to sticks and a rock for protection cause that was how they use to do it.

A LEO buddy of mine brought up a good point tonight. If the constitution gets "skewed" in any way, such as interpreting the 2nd amendment a certain way that violates our rights...they would then have to do something about the 4th amendment and unlawful search and seizure...and then onto another amendment and so on... Pretty much the ame idea as what happened in Animal Farm.

So what's the latest rumour? Semi auto ban or just assault ban? I was thinking on getting another shotgun. I have a Remington but my old 700 bdl 25-06 did the infamous Remington went off when lowering the bolt. Missed a trophy axis, nobody was injured,I almost shit myself.

That's a horrible argument in my opinion. Good luck with that 'level playing field' against the US Army. When they come rolling in with an M1 Abrams and .50 cal vehicle mounted machine guns, you're puny little AR won't make a rats assed difference. Unless you have an F16 in your back yard, don't kid yourself, civilians will never be on a level playing field with the US Military...

It still comes down to protecting ourselves from threats. Maybe the Govt, maybe your neighbor and maybe another nation or group of nations. History shows Japan didn't invade due to the civilians. History also shows that any Govt needs checks and balances and the Constitution as well as the Amendments are those Checks and Balances
