I've been looking at the Rigid Dually D2 Clear Driving Light - Set of Two - rig50231 and was wondering if I could wire them to the two round lights on the left & right sides of the lower bumper. ( FOG LIGHTS ).

This way I could turn all 4 of them on and off with the push button switch on the left side of the dash. I would also get the "BLACKOUT" covers for the D2s when I only want the two round lights.

Has anyone tried this and if you have how do you like it?

I will mount them on the two tabs Avid welded to the back side of their LIGHT BAR.

When you say round lights I'm going to assume you mean your fog lights. Im not sure if you can run them through your fogs. If they are wired into your fogs then you'll be driving around with you rigids on at night which could get you lots of middle fingers. You should probably just run them separately. With a sr5 you should have plenty of blank switches where you could throw in a rocker switch to run your lights.

I think it can be done but you would want to use a relay I believe. U may also wanna look into the fog light anytime mod for complete control over the lights. If it were me I would just put them on their own switch.

P.s. try posting this topic in the lighting section for more replys.

Thanks to everyone. I think I will connect them to their own switch and be done with it. :D

Now I am ready to order a pair of Rigid D2s, but which ones?

    QUOTE:
"The Rigid Industries D2 lights are available in a Dual Beam output that projects both a 9 degree spot and an 18 degree flood pattern . This gives your light optimum distance with good horizontal spread or a 30 Degree Wide Pattern designed to saturate your surroundings with High intensity LED Light."

Could the guys that have these let me know which ones you would suggest. Should I get the 9 degree & 18 degree or the 30 degree wide pattern? :)
