Does this spill over into those that do their own reloading of ammo?
Like everyone has stated. Just cross over to the nearest state and stock up.
I still have never understood how making more laws somehow means criminals are suddenly going to start obeying them.

    Not enough.
Ah fuck. It's getting annoying already to the point where it actually pisses me off. Seems like another way for this state to get some cash.

Ya... Trying to reintroduce last year's bill that would address the AWB "loophole"

Problem is, the "loophole" can't be eliminated so easily.

The bullet button is legal. Established law specifies that a bullet tip is considered a legitimate tool for removing a fixed magazine.
This was codified in the original AWB because the detachable-magazine SKS is banned, but the fixed-mag SKS is legal.
The magazine in the fixed-mag SKS was designed to be removed by using a bullet tip.

Banning the bullet button would require banning the fixed-magazine SKS.
The banned-by-name list was locked in 2006 and can not be reopened without separate new legislation... and a new AW registration period.

New AW registration period means I can register my AR and then yank the bullet button AND use my pre-ban USGI mags.

sounds like they've legislated such a mess year after year, that it's binding their efforts to further infringe... i.e. "good"!!! ;)

    stock, for now
FUck your shitty state of california..Yall can keep it. Theres nothing here in jersey saying I can't go to my local sporting goods store and buy what ever quantity I'd like of any caliber of ammo.

Only drawbacks in this state; no concealed, fully automatic, folding stocks or ease of buying a handgun. I have to jump thru hoops to get one.

California doesn't have any of that yet, and these bills have gone through and been shot down every year for the last 5 or 6 years, so there's no guarantee that it will this time.

WRT NJ restrictions vs California, I can buy any handgun that is on the roster. 10 day waiting period, I just need to have a valid handgun safety certificate.
The certificate is $25, it's 50 questions that could be answered by any 5 year old, and it's good for 5 years.
Don't have to renew it to own handguns, it just needs to be current to buy one.

So no hoops to jump through to buy a handgun.
Most people can buy one every 30 days. With my COE I am not limited to that.
I can buy as many long guns as will fit in the back of my truck... same 10 day wait.

CCW is up to the individual county Sheriff. California itself is "may issue".
The majority of counties are "shall issue" and will issue with nothing more than "personal protection" being given as reasonable cause.
LA, Orange, San Diego, Imperial, and the bay area counties are the few that won't issue to civilians.
