Howdy y'all. Been surfing here for a month or so as soon as we started seriously looking for a Tacoma to play with.

Bought if from a Ford dealer with 87k miles on it. Pretty decent deal we think, it's got a few extras(New toolbox, rubber mats, sill protectors, JBL, bed mats) and had impeccable service records from first sale til the dealer we bought if from.

The only issue so far is that last week (two weeks after we got it) the OEM Toyota battery died on us :( I learned the hard way that our previous jumper cables wouldn't handle the power needed to jump this beast! Had a nice flaming pile o' cables at the end, but fortunately didn't: blow any fuses, start an engine fire, burn myself, or cause any serious damage to the paint/headlights(just a few tiny-pebble sized annoyances on the plastic parts and headlight).

Anywho, I've got a lot to learn and it looks like this is the place to do it! Be nice, I bruise easily! (that is, I might bruise you without even trying :)

    Cheers!

At first I thought 87k sounded like alot for a 2010. now I realize its probably well over 3 years old... the new year always screws up perspective.

Yeah, we were caught between choices. Wanted a newer vehicle, but don't have the funds for anything low mileage, which was mostly what we were seeing. i.e. 15-20k miles for upwards of 30,000 after everything.

We figure this will still give us at least 10 years of love considering their reputation.
