New guy

Hey folks. I have a Ford Ranger right now and I'm looking to buy a Tacoma within the next six months. I came here to gain knowledge of these trucks that can't be found in online reviews, only in real world use of the vehicle. My primary use of the vehicle will be as a commuter but I need to be able to tow my 3500lb boat and trailer frequently as well as access rough back country roads for fishing/hunting trips. I am looking at a quad door 4X4, 2009 or newer. Thanks in advance for any information offered.

I'm wondering about differences in the later model trucks. For example, what changes have been made from 2008 until now? Are there any models/years to stay away from? What would I look for if I were going to see used trucks? Thanks
