I had to take these front trim pieces, located right below the headlights, on my 95 tacoma. When I popped them off, the plastic clips were so old and brittle 1/2 broke on each side. Anyone experience this before? how can I put them back on and know they'll stay. I thought about using adhesive but I'd like to be able to remove them if the need arises. Thanks

Dealer might have the clips, otherwise go to a scrapyard and try to pull some off without breaking them. Happened to me, as well. Not hard to swap if you find good clips.

Buy the clips from the dealer.

It's really the only way it stays on tight.

Mine broke when I removed the trim pieces this past spring. Once you get the clips, put them on the filler piece before you snap them onto the truck. Much easier that way.

It looks ike the clips are attached to the plastic holding piece attached to the truck and not those trim pieces. how did you install the clips on the trim piece before installing it? It didn't really look like the clips themselves were replaceable (withough replacing that entire holding piece) but if that's the case that should be easy.

Anyone know what those clips would be called if I were to contact a steelership>

    Thanks
