2010 Tacoma, first oil change, what kind?

    Dealer told me that my v6 2011 required synthetic. it's included in the whole 2 year free maintenance thing.

    If you live in an area with road salt in the winter, don't worry about the type of oil. Long after the Taco's frame had rotted away, the engine and transmission will still run like new...

    I use Toyota-brand convention oil with the Toyota filter and change every 3 calendar months.

    Thread revival. Haha. But will this filter work on a 06 taco v6? The guy at advanced said it wouldn't work.
